if this gen can be any indication then definetly the 3ds.

Like I mentioned in a past post; I want to see what the pirate/hacking/homebrew scene is going to look like for the new handheld systems. Not to mention the feedback off the first batch. I'm not doubting Sony and Nintendo would make the kinda blunder Micro$oft did with the 350 (RROD), but its always good to wait a while.
PSP2 isn't a phone.
Depends on the library. Nintendo doesn't have quality control, but they do have Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, etc. working for them. PSP2 could be really good if it actually gets third party support. So it's basically like the DS vs. the PSP at the moment.
I think that the 3DS will sell more.
Exclusive titles from Nintendo is really great compare to Sony. Yes they have final fantasy, but FF now are all crap like FFCC...
This will be another Sega Gamegear, much powerful but it failed
I still can't get over in the touch screen in the BACK

I think a fair chunk of their sales will come from parents buying their kids handhelds for christmas and that sort of thing --- That being said, the 3DS will excel in that demographic. I have seen maybe 1 out of 1000 kids who has a psp rather than a DS. I can only see that trend continuing.
I think that already the 3ds is more popular than the psp2. I'd totally buy both when the price goes down, but I think the 3ds will have better games, and it'll be more popular. Not to mention that nintendo knows how to make exclusive games.
Hail to the king baby!
I'll still say NGP will be the better purchase. The initial 3DS launch will suffer due to people trying to shoehorn 3D into things (Which a huge number of people cant even see right anyway, lacking proper 20/20 or theres about.)
That being said, the 3ds has a good head start over the NGP and will have ample time to bolster their library. On the other hand, with things like Android support and access to PSone and PSP games through PSN, the NGP will have a decent start. On top of that. Call of Duty. Touch panel aiming (Using the back of the NGP) will be just about as smooth as using a mouse once you're used to it. That alone will give the system a huge boost in the west where FPS are so popular. If Sony can get some providers on board like ATT and Tmobile to offer wireless 3g packages at reasonable rates, I'd be set. Being able to sit myself down in a cafe someplace and play a round of CoD or Monster Hunter with other people online would be pretty satisfying and an incredible reason to purchase the system.
One cant always be near a wifi spot, and if I can game online while walking down the street or sitting down during my lunch break at work? Fuck yeah.
From the latest reports, 3-5 hours. The touch screen in the back is a great idea if you think about it, much better than a second analogue stick. And I can't say with absolute certainty, but I'll take a decent OLED screen than a 3D screen.
Your country isn't a representative of the entire world.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but just because you don't like the PSPs library doesn't mean it's law. I have both a DS and PSP (DS for far longer) and I can't think of a a single DS title that comes close to Monster Hunter, again, imo.
I'll probably end up buying both, but definitely NGP first, granted, my interest in in portable gaming is not what it used to be.
