Yes. Although I did so as a lousy cheater using my infinite ammunition. But I could have turned it off and still have had fully upgraded weapons, so it wouldn't have mattered terribly either way. To hell with using the default loadout from start to finish.

My most amusing "death" occurred when I was trying to shoot a rocket at Wesker, and I accidentally blew up Jill. If she would have just stayed dead, I could have skipped the more annoying part of the fight altogether.
