Hilariously enough, it works the other way around as well. If a person has no avatar and sig and therefore his/her profile doesn't take up too much space, I occasionally scroll over it while skimming, missing the post. Or is that just me?
It's not really that I come up with any theories about people or anything of that nature, but I have come to associate certain members with certain art styles, for example. And avatars generally make skimming a lot easier. But I like to see as little clutter as possible, and avatars just seem to be taking up unnecessary space in the vertical layout. Especially now that I'm home using my netbook.

Oh, nano. Yeah, the game probably wouldn't work on that anyways. It's intended for iPhone/iTouch/iPad. As for putting anime on it, you should be able to just drag and drop it into iTunes. However, it needs to be in a format the thing will accept. I've been re-encoding mine with handbrake into the proper sized mp4s and making the subs hard rather than soft, since it seems to have issues when the sub is supposed to display more than one line at a time with soft subs.Ugh, I would imagine. I STILL haven't figured out how to upload anime on it.
I have a hot pink nano, well, the NEW nano and it has horrible battery life. Well, I mean, I go out for a jog everyday, and after like 3 jogs it's dead. I'm pretty sure I turn it off
but yeah, that would get kind of hot I imagine.

It has settings for the iphone 4 and such, dunno about the nano. But the choices are to encode to MKV or MP4, the latter of which is recognizable by iTunes. Judging by http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/specs.html I'd say just make sure it encodes into something with the width at 240 pixels, preserve aspect ratio.
