There are lots of reports of it causing a brick. You should probably wait until it's a sure thing .

Because no one listened to the guys whom said patching LV2 would risk bricking consoles.. You can already play backups anyway using Geohot's firmware, you just have to patch the game executables on a case by case basis. (Which is overall cleaner and harder to detect in the long run than using backup loaders anyway.)

Geohot is a prick. I never use the PSN so the only interest I have in keeping up with firmware is for new games .

Doesn't matter if he is a prick, his firmware was more intelligently designed than what Waninkoko is trying to push right now. Patching LV2 can BRICK consoles, it's been known and said for a good long while now, but he did it anyway.. and what do we get? A bunch of people out of hundreds of dollars because of it.
