I think I missed that thread.

I've only seen the odd video of it being done in Japan, but on second thought I think they were eating it alive. I can't imagine it being that bad though.

    ...

Alright, it might feel a little weird.

It's a damn good remake, at least.

Well, if the networks over there are anything like they are over here, the old movies will very, very rarely be played, and even then only on the networks that specialize in classic movies or late at night. Or if you pay a monthly fee for the movie channels, but fuck that.

We get Showtime, Encore, and Starz all included in our package. Between those and all the free On Demand stuff, it's never hard to find a good movie to watch.

Let me guess, you've never cancelled your sub to cinemax?

Yeah, that. Still did a good job of being a 2 hour fight scene.

And now we wait several years for someone to get around to animating "badass priest" route.

In the meantime, F/Zero (F/SN WITH GUNS) is getting an anime series. From the same people that did KnK. I am moderately enthused.

Just added some PS2s, Saturns and Dreamcasts to my eBay watch list. I hope to score some bargains.

On Demand is the shit, but if you don't subscribe to the movie channels there's rarely anything worth watching for free. At least from what I've seen.

    Yar.

Pretty much. Although I managed to catch a few back during october's "let's marathon every horror series our network can get its hands on" phase. but I think I skipped out on several.

It's pretty much the same here. There's plenty of movies on right now, I'm just too lazy to walk across the room and check the listings. When it comes to my own home I get free cable that's leeched off the landlord's linkup. She's pretty basic about it, but there's some decent movie networks in there.

EP is so lovely. You're all fabulous people who have done more for me over the years than I know how to put into words, and I love you all. Thank you for continuing to be who you are~

(Children, this is what happens when you stop sleeping for long periods. *passes out in bed*)

    Still totally true, though.

Well, the three I listed all populate the On Demand list with a bunch of stuff. In addition, there's TBS, TNT, TMC, etc. Didn't bother mentioning them since they're usually included in basic cable. Most of the non-free movies I've seen on the On Demand thing are ~$1.99 for a week long "rental." Then there's also the DVR that can be programmed to record shows every time they're on or whatever. Unfortunately, the HDD in the thing is tiny and mummy dearest already sets it to record 24, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars. So basically, no one else gets to record anything.

Good to see things haven't changed too much since then.

    Or even...crawling back out.

Ah, yeah. The basic cable networks usually play all the classic horror movies around Halloween each year too, but aside from that and the mandatory Christmas movies it's rare to find anything more than a decade old.

Mine too. Haven't quite figured out why they chose to put a floppy disk in there.
