"Nubian women can have the juiciest legs. Asian women might have smoother, softer ones though. I keep recalling this gorgeous Oriental gal who was reading a book by the lake in Irvine, CA when I was a teenager. She had cropped black hair, glasses, a long sleeved brick red shirt, and her perfect thighs were crossed under her very short pants in that wonderful way in which the fabric rides up to show a glimpse of the beginning of a very sweet derriere. She was truly a vision of The Goddess Consciousness."

Something I wrote at SOR this morning.

Think this is a good idea?

That would be the general idea, yeah. I was toying with "winner gets to pick up whatever items they want under X dollars from one site/seller, and I will pay the purchase price of that item and up to X dollars in shipping."

That and I find prize incentive brings some of these people out of the woodwork.
Best of luck with that. I'd be interested in seeing what people can come up with.

What if I threaten the other bidders and tell them I'm going to win no matter what?

I was the one who tried to sell Abraham Lincoln's Ford Model T on eBay.

    Hence the "X dollar amount."

Not that I would enter the contest, I'm terrible at drawing.

Strange how these things work out sometimes. Not that I particularly care about being at home anyway. It's really cheap to attend university from home, and my lifestyle is so quiet and modest that I wouldn't really do anything differently if I lived alone. Plus I've always gotten along really well with my younger brother, so I'm happy to live under the same roof as him.

Of course I have to move out in third year anyway unless I intend to commute to classes in Japan. And once I graduate...god knows. Might have to move to the US or Japan to find translation work. Until then, though, I want to stay at home as much as possible. I'd like to hope it's for mostly charitable reasons and not because I'm a total man-child, but I guess we'll find out when the time comes.
That's unfortunate to hear that your mom is having a tough time. It is strange how life works out sometimes, but I think you definitely made the right decision. It's important to stay close to your friends, but it's usually not hard to find time for them. On the other hand, it's very easy to take your family for granted after more or less spending every waking minute with them throughout childhood, and getting into this mentality that they'll always be around. Life is short y'know? Knowing that you did everything you could to be there for your family when they needed you there is the most important thing, I'd say

Oh, I'm sure teleportation devices will exist by then. That reminds me of a quote from Diary of the Dead: "It's funny. You spend so much time resenting your parents, separating yourself, building your own life. But as soon as the shit hits the fan, the only place you want to go is home." I'm pretty sure I'm going to have the mentality of a child until the day that I die, so no worries.

I'm toying with it. I want this one to be freaking sweet, and I know there are some amazing artists on this site. Could be fun.

We'll see if I do it or not.

I know a few people like this, and they bug the hell out of me.

But like I've said, I've always valued my independence. I would move into a shitty little hole rather than my parents place if I could afford to, because then at least it's my shitty little hole.
Well, I'm glad that I don't know anyone like that, because they would piss me off too. Especially someone who feels like they're entitled to something better that they can't even afford to pay for.

I understand completely. I would rather be in that situation too, but I fear I'm going to be stuck at home for awhile longer, especially since I'm planning to go back to school.

Aww. I seem to have killed the Hang Out. Oh well. Time to go play some more demos, then attempt to get to sleep at a decent hour. Which is odd, since it's already 3:30AM...

Course as soon as I say I killed it, someone posts.

It doesn't bother me so much with people going to school, 'cause obviously money is tight when you're stuck in a classroom all day making no money. But yeah, those people really do bother me. Although on the other hand, they're getting cheap/free rent, so who knows... maybe I'm in the stupid one here.

Seriously going to log off, though.

Nah, I just have a tendency of typing incredibly slowly and getting distracted. At any rate, I should be getting to bed pretty soon here myself. Anytime before the sun starts coming up is a decent hour for me.

Yeah, I guess it really just depends on the person and how motivated they are with their goals and stuff. That's why I distanced myself from a lot of the people I knew in high school, the whole "popular" crowd consisted mostly of the rich, snobbish type that seemed to think they deserved everything in the world without so much as having to lift a finger. Oh well, I guess it would be hard not to take those kinds of things for granted when you're raised with everything you need handed to you on a silver platter. But if you didn't have your own place you couldn't invite girls over and party in your living room!

    Night, catch you later.
