I want to save and learn to drive, but I don't want to save.
I'd rather blow it on things that are pretty useless in the long run, whereas being able to drive will benefit me for the rest of my life.![]()
So I was working on a trophy on the Mafia 2. Drive 50 miles in a single vehicle. I already have 25 miles in a car, so I got it out and drove up and down the map for like half an hour. And then when I was driving someone drove in my way, I crashed and died. Back to 25 miles. I rage quit.![]()
Force yourself to save half of every paycheck and get used to living on a budget. You'll have enough money saved up to make a down payment in no time and a nice wad of cash to help with the car payments each month. Or just find a nice used car and buy it outright.
Of course, the hard part is actually saving all that money up.![]()
Learning to drive and getting a license is all I want to do for now.
Getting a car and it insured can wait, it's not like I'll forget how to drive.I don't want the first cheap banger I find that'll get me killed, I'd rather wait until I have a better income and get something decent.
Well you need at least 20 hours with a proper driving instructor before you can take your test, so I'd say they are mandatory, yes.
The stupid provisional drivers license is £50, lessons would probably end up costing me like £500 altogether? That's with my test included at the end. Ridiculous.
I just want to go to a private area and have a mess around with a car. No one would let me though.![]()
Holy balls that's stupid. And expensive. Over here you just take the test and then pay like 15$ or something for the license. Although if you're under 18 you need to have at least 50 hours of driving experience while with an adult present or something like that before you can your license, but at least you can do that for free with your parents or friends. That sucks bro.
I'd be happy driving an automatic (albeit slowly) around some private land for a while.![]()
