Yeah, it's a good idea to hold off on the DLC for a bit.
Operation Anchorage makes the game retardedly easy if you know what you're doing (you can make a run for its location very early and it's not that hard to handle. Beating it gives you both the Power Armor Training perk and a suit of Chinese Stealth Armor, the most retardedly powerful armour in the game). Point Lookout is a nightmare for any character at a low-mid level. Mothership Zeta is rather slap dash in general. The Pitt is interesting, but again not much good for low level characters.
Broken Steel is the main one to get. Increases the level cap to 30, adds more perks and enemies (not much fun to fight though, they took the approach of just jacking up the HP, armour and damage on existing enemies and reskinning them) and retcons the horribly cliche and plot-holed original ending.

Invites are closed at the moment. I have two, but they've been closed for a few months because they were reworking the system. Most people assume they'll be reopened shortly after the freeleech ends.
As for why you got deleted, it was most likely for inactivity. I make sure to log in once every 2-3 weeks and usually download one or two things just so I have some activity on the account.

Helpful for lessening the hateful rage before one's next attempt at playing.![]()
My last death wasn't my fault, which only caused me to rage quit worse.
I really like it, it's just frustrating sometimes to go through every thing super slowly, start building some confidence, then finally get surprised or something and die. Sure, it's relatively easy to get back your lost souls if you were paying attention to where everything was, but god forbid you should die whilst hurrying to your bloodstain because of a stupid mistake.![]()
I'll play some more today after my boyfriend wakes up to go to work.
Sleepy post.
