    God of War yes, Shadow of the Colossus not so much. I don't particularly care if it's different from the rest of the series or not, but for some reason I wasn't particularly fond of the controls. I really hated trying to execute a block, L2 feels rather cumbersome when you're trying to do something quickly, and half the time I find myself rolling by accident.

    I don't think it looks terrible though, and whether or not every hack 'n' slash type game is compared to God of War, it's sometimes just the sort of game I need. A bit of fun gameplay, without a terribly important or involving storyline to worry about. I love my RPGs, but they can get exhausting and overwhelming playing them one after the other.

    I'll wait for a price drop too, and see how I feel about it later.

    I watched a number of videos of it, and it has like three bosses in the entire game that you need to defeat in the SotC fashion. How that alone makes it totally like SotC is beyond me. It's a huge stretch.

    I could think of many ways to do cool stuff with a whip, but instead it feels like some sort of GOW blades or something.

    Roll should always be used with the right stick, no questions.

    It kind of makes it more like GOW really.

    Seeing as they tend to have a couple bosses you kill SotC style. :wacko;

    Ah, I didn't realize that there were any bosses to be defeated in that manner. All I knew before playing the demo was that some people were complaining about it. I didn't face a boss, just a really big wolf that I had to kill by pressing R2 to not die.

    Even Demon's Souls has a roll option that's easy and quick to use. And that game is constantly trying to kill you.

    Fer, Castlevania Lords of Shadow has already dropped below £19.99, well, I guess it's still like 100$ over there in Mexico, though.

    I played very little of it, but the tutorial level boss is just overkill.

    It stops being easy and quick to use when your carry weight or equip weight go a bit too high. At which point rolling makes you a sitting duck for whatever fuckhuge bastard is trying to kill you.

    And for the sake of hilarity they put the second heaviest sword in the game in the same room as the most dodge heavy boss.

    Fucking Sony.

    But even if you beat it, you die.

    I really want some Hama Beads, so I can make this sort of thing myself. They're really cheap, but I'll be playing with a children's toy.
