Not really. If people just started guessing words, I could see it getting out of hand... Multiple letters that are in another word of the puzzle, for example. Such as "Superman is super!" or something. Somebody could guess "Super is a word!" and then the GM would either have to say to guess a letter or plug in every missing letter that Super contains, since otherwise you couldn't say it's been guessed (and would possibly cause confusion, no?)
