PSX mac help
hey, i have everything set up for my psx emulator, the bios runs and everything, i have the game files which i have downloaded off the iso sections but when i download it its downloaded in a .rar format which wont run on the emulator, i've searched for weeks looking for a way to convert the files but i can't find a thing on mac to do so, does anyone know a way i can turn these files into a playable format on mac like a .iso or .bin or whatever els? anything would be appreciated

You could try this. I've never tried it myself, as I don't have a Mac at the moment. Though, if you search online, I believe there is a trial version of WinRar for Macs.
yeah i found that a bit back, and i do get a .bin but it just says could not check cd rom when i load it

Hm? Are you trying to run it as if it were an actual CD? Or as a file? Did you configure your CD Rom plugin?
yeah its configured, i just go to file on the emulator and select Run iso and then i get an error message, i also tried dragging it in to the emulator and i get a different error that says Pcsx cannot load bios images, so i dont know whats up with that either.

Just so I know...you, opened the .rar file of the game, and saw the .bin file, right? Is that how you're trying to run it? Or did you extract the .bin file some where, and tried running the game like that through the emulator? Because in your original post, you kind of imply that you couldn't even extract the game from the .rar file.
sorry, i extracted the .bin and tried running it like that, i'm not too familiar on emulators and stuff like this, i just play the games aha

And it says that it's unable to check the CD? Can you give me the exact error?
Also, which emulator are you using?
Im using PCSX its the reloaded version, the error just says ERROR: Could not check cd rom
The second error when i drag and drop is This document cannot be opened PCSX cannot open files in the bios image format

yeah i just can't get it..i think its just the format of the files, cause the bios runs good, i just cannot figure out how to convert them into a format that runs, theres not much for mac os, thanks anyway, i sure ill find something out
