Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you, too!

It's really funny that I got the Lovecraft stuff though. Just yesterday I was thinking I should find a neat online source to read some. Someone apparently read my mind.

Oh, my boyfriend and I also got a $50 gift card to a selection of restaurants we can choose from.

I feel really bad, actually, because my father shouldn't really be paying for anything but bills and such.

How he chooses to spend his money is up to him, though. That's the way that I've always looked at it... I never tell anyone to get me anything for Christmas, but if they choose to, then I just assume that they have everything else figured out and can afford to.

Or you could take your father out for dinner...? To ease the stress of having to worry about bills all the time.

Yeah, I know. And I know he's happy about being able to give presents and such, he apologized like five times that "there wasn't more," but I'm happy we even had a chance to visit. I go out by myself fairly often, but it's nice to visit with my boyfriend, too.

I'm not really sure where the card is to, I haven't looked at it except a tiny peek at the house. It was in my boyfriend's stocking and he put it away fairly quickly. There aren't too many terribly expensive places in town, but even at the ones that are 50$ should cover it if he came along. And it's not like we can't use extra money. We shall see.

I think it would be a nice gesture, but that's just me. Especially since your visit was cut short due to shitty weather. But then again, that's just the way that I think... I'm fairly financially stable, so I don't mind spending a bit of extra money on people when I think they deserve it/earned it, even if it's something simple like that.

The problem is getting him to agree to go. And then allowing us to pay for it.

Maybe we can work something out soon.

I've suddenly become very sleepy, and I think I'll play some Batman or something for a bit.

I promise I'll respond to my latest PM later, if you don't mind terribly.

Gotta go back to the kitchen. The wife wants me to feed the animals, so I have to look busy so someone else can do it.

    What? I fucking cooked supper.

I always hated the term "fillet." From the way that I was trained, the "fillet" refers to the tail portion of the tenderloin before it has been cut, where as "filet mignon" refers to cutting it into smaller portions (medallions). Call me picky...
