Yes. So much yes. The gameplay is very average, and the graphics have aged extremely badly, but the story and soundtrack are...amazing. Like totally top tier, even nowadays. I guess it depends what sort of RPG you like.

I like Final Fantasy games, Chrono games, Vagrant Story type RPGs also, same with Valkyrie. I do remember not being impressed with Xenogears, visually.
