    An an comes before a vowel. Not when it sounds like it begins with a vowel.

    SNES= Super Nintendo Entertainment System

    a.

    Actually, while I loathe to side with Cheezy, before acronyms it's common to treat letters with vowel sounds as vowels. So his 'ess en ee ess' logic is correct, and it's 'an'. You can do it your way, but it's a lot less common, and sometimes frowned upon.

    I was going to say 'unless you read it as a word' in my post, but I thought I was the only one who said it like 'Snez'.

    Dogo Argentinos go for as much as $3800 for championship show dogs!

    Wow, lowest is $1250 for a female.

    Technicality.

    I still refer to it as a Super Nintendo.

    You probably are.

    I pronounce it like "sness".

    No Z.

    Technicality or no, he's not wrong.

    ...

    And me too. ^_~ I always just treat it as a word. If only because actually saying 'ess en ee ess' is so awkward.
