    That'll definitely be the problem then, unopened PCs = dusty. Give it a good clean, especially the graphics card.

    Nothing to worry, just be cautious not to touch everything and nothing. Obviously, power off and disconnect before attempting anything. Unscrew the video card and pull back the tab retained the video card (if any, normally there is at the right end of the AGP/PCI-e slot) and remove the video card. Disconnect the power going directly to the video card and try not to drop the video card on the floor, they don't like those things.
    Clean the excess dust with a few blowings here and there, unless you have compressed air under the hand than it's all advised to use this instead.
    Do the same thing in reverse and check your temps.

    My computer's always open, although there is nothing powerful inside of it to get very hot I do clean it quite regularly
