    Yes, yes, and yes.

No, it's not. Especially when you're using a decade old POS.

It really depends on what you do with the computer. If you just surf the Internet and play old PC games, or other games with low requirements (or low enough that you can play them at least), then I can see how it would be a waste of money.

That reminds me, I need to stop by the underdogs site and grab some abadonware... I'm thinking System Shock.

Na, I just like having new stuff. I spoil myself though. Pft, I did fine without a computer for the majority of my life, I would be fine.

Well, in my case, I'll need to keep a fairly powerful computer at all times, especially when I become a game designer. I've already done a fair amount of research on this profession, so I know.

Didn't think it needed to be said in length like this, but at least you seem to not have your head up your ass.

Yeah, I tend to overcomplicate/overexplain things a lot... mainly because when explaining, I can't think of a simpler way to put it.

edit: Misread your post.... I must be sleepy.

So you don't need it, you just have it because you can.

    Check.

We really need to start allowing Hangout posts to count towards postcounts. Seriously. My post count is inordinately low for how long I've been here...
