Ahh I was just presuming that seeing as they seemed to be the exact same program besides the name I was going to get rid of one of them

I was pushing it when I thought I could get all my programs on a 10gb HD Still, I got rid of open office as I saw little point in keeping it other then to view powerpoint files, I need to find a smaller alternative that just views them.

    You mean like this?

Can't think of any open office versions though.

Also, attempt killing the non hotfixed version.

Or wait for panda to stop fiddling with the server to get a better idea.

Install .net Framework 2.0, then I think you can trash the others.

    Hmm, worth looking at possibly

I don't want to do as much messing around at the mo till I get a bit more of understanding, I've always used Visual Studio 6.

Yes. Size is very relative. Since your .net framework was probably installed when you installed visual studio, it's taking it's size. And no, you're not supposed to delete the "older" ones when you install a newer version (2.0, 3.0 and so on).

Edit: By taking it's size, I don't mean it's taking 997MB for the framework. More that the size shown is the size of Visual Studio and not really the framework per se.

I seriously doubt that's the SDK version (which is most likely what he's going for)
