    Default Windows Vista compatability

    Hey im pretty new to the whole emulation thing but i just got windows vista and i was wondering if any emulators work on it for the Playstation 1. I tryed ePSXe and it freezes when i try to run any ISO file i downloaded.

    Epsxe works fine on vista in my experience. What plugins are you using, and what iso are you trying to load?

    Also, what version of epsxe are you using, and what are your system specs?

    Are you extracting the ISO's from the rar files?

    im using ePSXe version 1.6.0

    for graphics i forgot what its called but the file names are

    for video gpulewglide
    for sound spuEternalL

    all plugins are the newest versions

    i have a intel P4 3.2 ghz geForce 5600 1gig or ddr2 ram 250gig hard drive
    plays newer games so i dont think its my rig

    and yes i unziped the rar files and got the .iso cd file

    What's the game you're trying to run? It could be a compatibility issue...

    For video, try switching to Pete's D3D Driver 1.76

    You're using a Glide video plugin, which is for computers that have Voodoo graphics cards.

    And if your comp came with Vista, then there's no way it came with a Voodoo card.

    Do what Cyrax suggested and use the D3D plugin which you can get from here:

    edit--
    Btw, you have to unzip the contents into ePSXe's plugin folder.
    Don't just put the zip file into the folder.
