So I gain nothing from Vista.

What is the Vista equivalent to XP Pro?

I just ran over 40 days with no reboot on XP Pro. My wife's Vista laptop is brand new and has always given her problems. From day one, it will randomly lock up/screen will turn random colors and require a restart...

Truth be told, no, I never have reformatted it like I keep threatening to, but honestly, I don't think I should have to.

And Vista is slow. Yes, I'm being fair.

    I have a 3800+ w/2GB RAM & XP Pro
    My son has a 3400+ w/2GB Ram & Vista

I can literally sit there long enough to get annoyed just trying to do something that pops right up on mine.

For the record, the whole Vista vs. XP debate is as pointless as PCs vs Consoles. I just like to get Sprung going If you have a PC that can run it, go for it. If you don't, stfu and use XP, it's still great too

    This is sound advice.

Of course, nothing runs it well.

3400+ isn't gonna cut it for vista I do shudder when people mention vista + laptop in the same sentence though, unless you have alienware, don't user vista on a laptop.

Don't blame Vista for Dell's ads and other bloated shit

Also, I got called into work. Tech emergency apparently. bbl.

My PC is more than good enough for Vista. It just looks bloated and shit. I installed it on my sisters PC and it just feels so sluggish.

You're saying the processor equal to a 3.4GHz P4 isn't enough for Vista. Oh, and it's also not bloated.

    Ok, just checking

Actually the whole 3XXX+ = 3.XX P4 theory was discredited Single core 3400+ isn't really going to cut it. Could also be disk access times causing the lag.

So, turns out someone managed to sever the CAT5e cord running from the server to the hub. How they pulled that off it beyond me.

Thing is, it's not a single core. It's an X2.

And editing my post just shows you know I'm right
