Even when I play games I keep my resolution at 16:10 (1280x800).

Exactly, if you're using a large monitor then there is a big difference. I mean I've got a 19" widescreen and it's native resolution is 1400x900. Anything less than 1280 looks like ass unless you're using a ton of anti-aliasing, and even then it's not ideal. It seems most modern monitors are designed to look their best at maximum resolution.

I'll definitely play the demo, but I doubt I will get the game since I haven't played the first 3.

I played halfway through the first. Didn't see why it's so hyped. It was awesome and fun, yes. But it just felt like another capcom game.
Don't get me wrong, they're amazing. Capcom is one of my favorites, it just feels like another one of those games, and to get 4, would be a waste since I missed the last 3 and a half. XD
I'll check out the demo though, should be cool.

DMC2 wasn't amazing by any means, but I thought it was worth a play.

I haven't completed 3, I find it boring. I will probably end up playing DMC4 when I get another 360 though.

I'm back from playing the DMC4 demo. It's super awesome. You can make some amazing combos using Nero's grab attack.
