anyway,sorry for the kinda offtopic post,but I have a question:
is it allowed here to post a pic an say some tips like "the character's name is like blablabla?". I ask because in another forum I posted a pic of "no one lives forever" and I said as a tip "the character's name is the same as the actress that plays the vampire in underworld but with c instead of k,and the last name is the same as one of the captains of one of the enterprises".
I though "it's easy,if they don't know the game from the picture,they'll google for underworld,find out the actress' name is kate,switch it for c and try 'cate kirk' 'cate picard' and 'cate archer' in google,so,with 'cate archer' they'll find out the game is 'no one lives forever'".
well,my intention was to make it interesting,as a "find the treasure" game or something,but everybody got angry and they told me in a serious/angry way "this evaluates games knowledge,not movies or star trek or how fast you can google for things!,you could have said the character's name in the first place!". huh?,with all the other posts when somebody didn't know the game,they googled and THEY SAID "I googled for that",I mean,I asumed googling for the game was allowed...I don't think I did something wrong... and I didn't say the character's name in the first place because that would have been too easy,I wanted to make it "fun".
so,my question is,are that kind of "deduction" things allowed or I'm supposed to just post the pic and don't say tips (or say something really straightfordward like the main character's name) ?
