    Spoiler warning:
butterfly thing. The fuck was that? So now his daughter is psychic or some shit? Then there's the whole "god told me to go to virginia" bit. Tossing the grenade through the cracks and holes that were rapidly developing (and which were shown in closeups of the wall) was out of the question, as was putting the recently dezompired chick in the "plenty of extra space" in the back wall. Way to go genius, you just took out yourself and an innocent bystander. Bravo.

The only thing that makes sense is people saying the movie was shit.

How can anybody not like 300? Beautiful naked women and death by sword and spear. What more can you ask for?

Recent movies: Black Snake Moan (pretty good, good blues music), Jackass 2.5 (disgustingly funny), Hot Rod (hilarious, 2 legit 2 quit)

Why do you call yourself Voltron?

Maybe because it's totally bad ass!

Severance -- a little known british number, very good

    300 - WoW

    Ghostrider - CrAP

Killing floor and white noise 2 - both garbage

Transformers - I finally saw it and it's incredible.

Stardust - OUCH how can a movie have bad special effects in this day in age? The acting was even bad. Man this sucked

Ghostbusters - 'A classic' as Zephyr said, I love this movie, almost a quarter century later and it still kicks ass. Watched with a friend who surprisingly never saw it, and she loved it too.

    Casino Royale - pretty good

JB the world is not enough - somehow I missed this one and recently saw it and it rocked. My new favorite Brosnan James bond.

Advent Children - Sorry fanboys, but I don't even wanna play another FF game after seeing this drivel.

RE Extinction - I wish someone would've blown my head off with a shotgun. BEFORE I saw this movie. For a game movie the first was alright, but this??? wtF!!11

1408 - Cusack is the shit but i found this movie to be semi ok

Grosse point blank - One of my faves, I've seen this so many times.

Pans Labyrinth - i honestly thought this would be a childrens movie and tried it just for the hell and it blew me away.

    Waiting - very funny

    Office space - not bad

ninja scroll - a buddy of mine mentioned it the other day so I dl'ed it, can't believe I liked it when it came out.

Appleseed - The best ANIME I'VE SEEN IN YEARS. IMO

indiana jones 1,2,3 - classics, yummy.

Who framed Roger Rabbit - another of my faves. Got the dvd edition, looks great!!!!!

I've seen about 50 more than that, in the past month, yup a month. No job + Employment Insurance + savings = plenty of free time to watch movies and play video games. Why work? Canada is great!!!!!!

Nah, I just think that Transformers sucked, and Stardust wasn't all that bad.

One was a special-effects showcase with no compelling story, whereas the other one had an interesting storyline, even if the special effects weren't all that impressive. Me, I'll take a interesting story over flashy special effects any day.

    hmmm I see your point.

That said, i think Transformers did good with what they had to work worth. Look at comic book movies, they always start with a boring origin movie, so I think transformers did ok, just seeing them in a so called "real setting" was enough for me, maybe it's just a fanboy thing. They never mentoned the matrix did they??? just a query there
I dunno about stardust though. When I saw previews and read a couple of things I thought it was gonna be great. Just didn't do it for me. but the effects really turned me off, still I have to give credit to a more original idea as opposed to a land of sequels. I thought claire daynes and De NIro could have done better. Meh to each his own of course.

I figured that the Cube was supposed to represent the matrix in some way. Dunno though, that's just a guess. I'm sure the inevitable sequel will answer whatever questions the first one brought up.

Clair Danes...is not a very good actress IMO. I've not watched one movie that she was in and enjoyed her performance. I've enjoyed the movies themselves to a certain extent, such as Stardust, but overall I find her acting to be bland at best.
