Default espxe and Final Fantasy 8

My favorite game in the Final Fantasy series happens to be 8. I downloaded the ROM for 8 on your site. Here is the link: http://www.emuparadise.org/roms/psx/ff8/

Anyway, there is a problem or some sort of bug. Everytime I run away in a battle, which in some battles is requires like with the mecha-spider, the game will not load the next scene.

Can anyone help me with this?

Also, in epsxe, go to config, video, configure, copy settings to clipboard and paste on reply.

In the meantime though, see if this helps: http://www.epforums.org/read-now-ffi...x.html?t=46270

Update your video plugin; it's rather old:

No, I gave you the latest one.

Config > Video > choose the one that's highlighted in the pic below:

If you don't see it listed, then you didn't unzip it to ePSXe's plugin folder.

Wrong again, that IS the one I was selecting.

Copy and paste your clipboard and I bet its the same.

Anyway, I figured it out, It had nothing to do with the video. I had the R1, R2,R3, and R4 configured to 1234, when I switched it up it works fine.

    You're right.

The plugin is 1.76, but it's given as 1.1.76 when you copy/paste your settings.

Well, that must be a mistake.

    Sorry about the confusion.
Glad you fixed your problem, at least.
