Ah yes, I can see the logic in that. As I stated earlier, a good rack with poor wine is useless. And some people go "too far", as would be the case with people altering or replacing racks simply because they can or because Ms. Jones did it. I can not see the purpose in that situation, as while the new rack will temporarily improve things, the effect may quickly wear off, not to mention the likelyhood of negative side effects of a new rack. But I suppose that's the world we live in, one where people merely choose to worry about the surface while the real problems ferment in the background, eventually surfacing in a big way. Also, while wine may improve with age, rack quality can, in a lot of cases, decrease significantly. At some point it may be required to at least slightly improve the quality of the rack or manipulate it in some way. Not to mention that some people may experience problems with the racks, and a touch up may get them back to the rack they know and love.

So, you prefer to stick it in the rear? Well, that's not a problem. It's cool and offers some wider perspective on the matter at hand. However, as a rack lover, I cannot see how anyone would stick it in the rear. I suppose it's just a matter of taste.
