I've been trying to figure out how to set where Windows Movie Maker places the captions onscreen, but as far as I can tell, all I can do is animate it and change the size, font, and color.I'd use a different, more complicated device for this task if that didn't take a whole lot more effort.

Ok, I found a way to make WMM put subtitles somewhere other than dead center screen (It requires writing custom XML scripts), and I've got the captioning all done and am compiling the video now.
I'm not sure I prefer how the captions are now, since I've got a much tighter limit on how much I can say at once, but everyone who's bothered to comment to me about the video complained about the text being in the center so I made the effort to move it.
