    El oh el!

Another 40 levels or so and you just might take him down.

With a level 99 save I cannot even defeat Emerald.

Levels are pointless seeing as he tends to do 9999 damage

Last time I battled him, he only did about 1111 to Cloud and 2222 to my other 2 party members (of course my party was still only level 35 or so, so I still died, though I did find out the secret of what seems to be his ultimate attack)...

/on topic: I borrowed Planescape from a friend, so I've started on that... just got a third party member.

I have played a lot of Super Paper Mario this weekend.
It is semi enjoyable to be fair.
The humour is just so dull too much pandering to the internet and hardcore crowd. Pretty poor imo.
Gameplay wise it is fine for what it is. Nothing too spectacular!

Eh, SPM features some pretty hit-or-miss humor, but I personally wouldn't say that it's pandering, just because it targets a very specific audience. That's just me though, whatever that means.

I'm currently working on a battle strategy for the last boss in Paper Mario, which is sort of ironic maybe, but seeing as I don't know the definition of the word, it might just be a coincidence. Even then, it might not have the ultra-huge importance that I'm arbitrarily deciding to put on it in light of your Super Paper Mario post. Whatever the case may be, I think I'm woefully unprepared for the final battle, lacking items and badges of any meaningful worth.

I do want to finish the game, being that it's fun and all that, but I'm sort of at a loss as to how to prepare, so until I figure things out, I guess I'll be unable to post this in the finished games thread for awhile...

papermario is great!! since i've just beaten spiderman, i'm actually working on REutbreak. I didn't like it at first what with the load times and such and annoying extra characters that just get in the way. But I found the survival aspect is a bit harder, with less space to hold things and not much ammo to waste. I love the RE series and as this is one I haven't played til recently, it's kinda nice to have a new RE on the go, currently on the hive scenario.
I can't wait to get the lonewolf mode. Nothing like killing zombies on a sunday, hell it's therapeutic.

I started a new game in San Andreas just for kicks, I want to see how far I can get before the first mission, working on muscle at the beach, eating hotdogs and collecting weapons and such. My cycling is about half-way. It's rough going though with nothing open yet though.

I got the hitman pack and am trying out silent assasin (2nd one) Fuck it's hard. I keep running into problems even in disguise, for some reason people just attacking me. it's fun though, running through in first person just blasting everyone, more simple that way than the newer versions.

    DOA4...

My god the develepors were drunk... No easy mode so beginners can learn the basics, the "stuns" are just impossible.. The counters are overrated and overused.

I started on Shining Force yesterday. So far I've only fought about 3 battles, but I like it.

Also started on Castlevania Bloodlines, which is a pretty good game, like most of the other Castlevania games I've played.

I also played a few rounds of Risk (since I don't have the actual board game, I had to settle for the Genesis version), and have beaten 6 computer opponents on novice and intermediate difficulties.

I'm gonna play Phantasy Star 1 and Exile: Escape From The Pit (which is a shareware game, if anyone here is interested) later, so... yeah... I've got some good games lined up to keep me busy for a while

Phoenix Wright 3: Trials and Tribulations. I'm up to the "second" day of case 5 (first day investigation, technically), and...ohmigods ohmigods ohmigods, this game is so great. I mean, it's soo squee~! Really shiny. Totally pretty-pretty-like and such. Utterly floosh.

It's, basically, the same gameplay as the first two games (excepting the DS-exclusive 1-5, which won't return until PW4 gets localized), but the cases are more difficult, longer, and interesting. 3-1 and 3-4 are both as Mia Fey in her earliest trials (defending Phoenix in the first and facing a young Edgeworth pre-1-4 in the fourth, no less), 3-2 and 3-3 are as Phoenix, and 3-5 appears to be Edgeworth ("take a trip, return home, end up in bizarro world"), of all people (though the medical docs say Nick will recover after the first day of trial is over, so we'll see). There are so many squee~able things, like the return of Larry Butz (oh dear), narrow-minded cultural assumptions (take a look at the fireplace, 3-2), the Ace Detective against the Ace Attorney in the exciting trial of a daring thief (me being a fan of shows like Kaitou Saint Tail, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, and DN Angel), the faceoff against an evil doppelganger, the Mafia ("he got an offer...he...couldn't...refuse"), programmers (Blue Screens, Inc..."sounds like a stable company"), and the not-so-ambiguously-camp-French muscleman chef (and amateur aromatherapist), and everyone's favourite cafe-swilling, coffee-hurling, java-holic, toaster-mask prosecuter, the enigmatic Godot (who has a highly amusing introduction if you know of or have seen the play his name came from), who rivals Edgeworth in sheer coolness and serious awesome, as well as seeming to be a pretty decent person compared to, say, the von Karmas. He apparently has also spawned his own out-of-game challenge (17 coffees, black, rapid succession). I just love it so much. Oh, yes, and that woman (not saying who for spoilers, though it'll be clear after the first case who I'm talking about) is pure, unadulterated evil.

I'm glad you like it so much, but...umm...floosh? You aren't stealing pages from Kara-kun's book, are you? Still, these games are just soo quotable.

Judge: "Perhaps you shouldn't point your pointer finger at this."
    Mia: "Perhaps." *PENALTY!*
Mia: "(What else is a pointer finger for except pointing?)"

Godot: "So, did you do it?"
    Ron: "Yes."
    Phoenix: "(...what?)"
Ron: "Err, I mean NO! No no no no no! I didn't do it!"
Judge: "For a moment, I thought we set the record for the shortest trial ever."

Godot: "You just earned yourself a penalty. Now, suck it down!"
Judge: "You will suck down the penalty, Mr. Wright. And you will like it!" *PENALTY!*
Phoenix: "(Thank you, sir, may I have another!)"

Pearl: "Mr Nick, how dare you do such things with your client's wife in front of your special someone!"

Mia: "Now I know whose milkshake brings all the boys to the yard."

Armstrong: "Oh...zis is stressing me out! I got to apply ze oil on myself....*rub* *rub*"
Phoenix: "(ARGH! My eyes! IT BURNS!)"

Lisa: "I'm sorry! That information is SuPer-Admin Restricted Desktop Access password-protected."
Maya: "SuPer-Admin Restricted Desktop Access password-protected? What!? This is madness!"
Phoenix: "No, Maya. That is SPARDA."
