    Just a convo starter really...

What are the most expensive programs (like software/applications) you own and how much?
Maybe what ones you're saving up to get or at least want, and how much they are. I know some programs like photoshop are around 700$!!!

Sometimes they're not even worth it

Besides purchasing an OS every couple years I don't "buy" software. Well besides games.

I bought WinXP Pro for $200 USD

And years ago, I bought Norton Systemworks 2003 for the "bargain" price of $30. Yes, I got ripped off.

What is this and why does it cost so much?
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

It's made by National Instruments and used to create apps using their graphical programming launguage G. It was originally designed about 20 years ago
to interface hardware and instruments with PCs but developed into
a regular programming language used a lot by companies like analog devices.

As for the price, I'm not so sure.

Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium ~$3000.00 US
Call of Duty 2 ~$60 back then

:wacko Okay i'm joking about Call of Duty 2, it was $54.99 CA.
As for Creative suite it's a gift from my uncle. Don't tell don't ask. I'm not complaining. He randomly pops up with a software from time to time, most often Adobe, that is like that. >__>

There's some molecular modeling software at uni that costs upwards of $50 000 or something ridiculous...It's pretty intense though.
