Yeah, MDMA is one of those drugs that's gotten a rep completely out of proportion to what it deserves. If it was 1/10th as deadly as the media made it out to be, people'd be keeling over every damn weekend from the stuff.its credited as one of the deadly drugs in the world.

More people died in the last 3 years from fishing accidents then from MDMA. (One reported death.)
The only problem with its popularity is the number of people who now assume that pills automatically mean MDMA. It's just a matter of time before those dumbfucks get a bad experience with Ketamine or some other pill and blame it all on ecstasy.

They're more or less right about it being addictive, insomnia-causing and paranoia-inducing. It's exaggerated like any propaganda, but at least this time it has a basis in reality.
It is nasty shit, though much of the problems can be attributed to it being a cheap home-made drug. Properly made amphetamines (even methamphetamines) aren't half as bad.
But weed's dangerous.
