Tip: Put the black mage in the last position... FF1 had a different system where the 1st in line took the most damage and the 4th the less, unless the monster used some level 2 offensive magic which could hit everyone in the party. And please move that White Mage to the third position as she is only using cloth armor which is next to nothing. The Red Mage uses chain armor and it would be an excellent second in the line.
My config for Final Fantasy 1 as it follows is: Warrior, Red Mage, Thief, Black Belt.
