Which many honestly would like to know. I have Muslim friends but they cant answer a lot and do not know the history. Many Muslims that go on TV can not honestly answer or know the origins of their religion. If it is a peaceful religion is should not make a lot of noise just like the Buddhist, Hindu, Amish, and other religions do. Like the saying goes action speaks louder than words and the Muslim religion can be all that it can say it is but if it can’t control its people then what does that show? I say my car design is better that the rest but if it gives more problems than good that means my design is not good no mater how much I kick and scream how well I may say how good it is. So if the religion is fine then the Imams should do something. Or maybe you are right that the TV is not showing it which I agree on that, but if the entire world has a problems then you can’t blame them all.

Religion does not turn people against each other its peoples will to follow the right or wrong information. Just reply in an orderly fashion and things will be understandable, verbal attacks does not help an argument but weaken it. I think things will be settled when the questions are answered and apologies for attacking should be said even though no one was attacked.
