Alright, this is a walktrough about the basics on ripping. I also added how to rip a snes rom cauz that�s pretty easy and fast to explain.
-First of all, what is a rip?
A rip is a continues loop of fast moving pictures. When you make a rip you basectly make a screenshot of every frame and put them together in a program (wich I�m going to discuss later). Rips are mostly made of fighting games, I added a rip in an attachment as an example.
-What software do I need.
First of all you need an emulator and a rom to rip. Second you need a program to put it together. I strongly recommend �Animation shop3.02�. It comes with Paint shop pro7, wich you can get of Kazaa or somewhere else if you like. I am not going to explain how this program works, you should be able to figure it out for yourself. You should check the tutorial that comes with it, or if you really can�t figure something out you can e-mail me at [email protected].
-how to rip snes
To rip a snes game you need Zsnes, wich can be found at www.zsnes.com. Then you need a rom like DBZ Hyper Dymension. Then you should figure out what move you want to rip, you can also use the recorder in the misc section. At the start of the move press F1, then change the img format to PNG and select snapshot/incr frm. Then press and hold enter until the move is finished. Now you have al the screenshots, all you need to do now is put them together in animation shop and finish it.

here's how to rip CPS2/neogeo games:

First, for the emulator I recommend winkwaks, you'll want to disable the background layers by holding alt and pressing 1, 2 and 3, then hold alt and shift and then press 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7. That should leave only the sprites remaining. Then push enter to pause the emulator when it is at the animation you want to rip or advance the frame to it by pressing shift + space bar. The push ctrl + p then shift + space bar until the animation is done. There you have your frames, just put them in animation shop and make the animation

Some helpfull tips
Always make the background transparant, so it will match the background color.
Don�t make your rip go faster then 1 frame per 0,5 seconds. It will either go to fast or when you make the more heavy rips it wont load faster than 5 frames per 0,5 seconds anyway on your browser.
