Hi All,
For the last couple of years, I have gotten quite a bit of mileage out of the latest epsxe on my laptop, and played a bunch of great games I otherwise would have had to shell out for a PS1 to play. Up until now, all the games I played have run pretty smooth.
Recently, I booted up, having not played any emu games in a while, and found that action on-screen caused noticeable lag / slow-down. The biggest example has been in FFVIII, where the game lags for the following (from what I've seen so far) instances:
-when drawing magic spells.
-during GF summon animations.
-occasionally in general.
I notice lag in other games I used to play regularly as well (e.g. Tekken 2 & 3, Resident Evil). I tried playing around with the video plugins and configurations, but have so far been unable to get "perfect" performance. For reference, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron, with AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6 processor (not a good "gaming" laptop by any means, but decent at playing older PC games, like Half-Life 2). My video configuration is as follows:
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.10

Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
GFX card: AMD Radeon R6

- Mdec filter: off
- Screen filtering: off

Could anyone give me any advice, or pointers, or better configurations to try? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
