I mean sure once your powerful enough you can just plow through low level enemies. You really have to build your character carefully and grind like hell for certain things and learn how to parry and dodge and everything. I won't even get into the world tendency stuff. The game really is tricky especially at first. I dunno it's hard to explain. There are some pretty cool big monsters but it almost feels like a test game for Dark Souls of which I've only played number 2 (And Demons Souls too of course) Like I said it's difficult to explain.

Some of the later bosses and red phantoms can be a real pain in the ass unless your prepared. You def can't just button mash your way through.
You can parry ? I went through most of the game not knowing you could lock on with magic and I did alright.
