What I do find amusing though is a bunch of review sites (i.e. hidefdigest, thedigitalbits, etc) gave Raid mediocre reviews, but sit there and spew their pants over this Dredd movie. Sure, this Dredd is what the original with Sly probably should have been, but it's not exactly the bees knees when it comes to cinema. Probably just jazzed up comic book fans, or the same group of people that think Avengers deserves an Academy Award for best picture.
Dredd was ok, but that Indonesian movie (The Raid: Redemption) was rather impressive when I first watched it.
I'd even go as far to say it's at the level of some quality Hong Kong and even some Japanese flicks of the same genre.
