Default FFIX Problems - Help needed please!

I have been quite happily playing FFIX on epsxe V1.7.0 and have just gotten to the point at which you save in order to enter disk 2 (in which I have done to the *memory cards*).

I have now loaded FFIX disk 2 (which does so fine) but when I come to trying to read from the memory cards I get an error saying "No FFIX data found on memory card".

I managed to quite happily complete FFVII and swap through the disks etc and really have no clue why FFIX's disk 2 wont read my memory cards!

    Thanks in advance!
