Yeah, well it's an actual legit copy of Vista Home Premium. I'm sure they want to stay legit.
Otherwise I would be totally down with doing what you suggested. It's a shit-old laptop with a 1.6 ghz Turion, and less than 1GB of RAM though. Personally with as low specs as it has I would install XP. Use the least amount of resources possible.
