Just because people are married doesnt mean that they cant catch std's some woman are cheating whores and some men a lying bastards. ya know?

Come on now, what path leads you to the least risk of a deadly STD, sleeping with many women, or sleeping with one woman?

And your point of cheating whores and lying bastards is moot, because those cheating whores and lying bastards don't practice abstinance, do they?

People with strong moral values will most likely seek out others with strong moral values.

Not that I personally abstain for the sake of STD's, but it is a reason some people have, or at least part of their reason.

Careful with that first generalization; monogamy is a system that has appeared across the world, even where Abrahamic faiths had never spread. There is a direct and tangible biological benefit to it. Oddly enough, that ties right into the second.

A terrible generalization on my part, I was fighting between using the term religion, or christianity, or just rewording the whole thing. Ended up on Christianity for the sake of simplicity, which seems to thrive in this thread.
