I'd have to go with Gundam Battle Assault 2 (PSX) and Tech Romancer for Dreamcast. Tech Romancer even has cheesy anime intro movies + theme songs just like those old series such as Gigantor, Voltron, etc...

Virtual On is great. Love the Mech Warrior series. Mech Commander was good for squad strategy and such too.

The vs Gundam games(Fed vs Zeon, Gundam vs Z Gundam) are pretty good too. The newest one that deals with SEED is nice aswell... just don't confuse it with Never Ending Tomorrow, which is basically only good if you're a big SEED fan.

Slave Zero was pretty good. But, the best robot fighting games are Gundam Wing Endless Duel, Gundam Battle Assault, and (of course) Virtua-On... Also, I even liked the Super Deformed Gundam sports games for the SNES in japan. They were pretty fun. Especially the Dodgeball one.
