I haven't seen any Uwe Boll's films yet but I only heard bad things about them. When House Of The Dead first came out, the trailer for it was just about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I also heard Uwe Boll is making Bloodrayne, Postal, and Fear Effect as well. Hope those turn out good LOL...

Yes, and he's also planning to make a Far Cry movie. Dear God.
The RE movies were just plain stupid, so I don't have high hopes for the Bloodrayne or DoA movie...

And by the way, if they dare to screw up the Silent Hill movie, they're dead.

What I've seen from the Silent Hill movie (a few pics) is promising. There was a thread about it some time ago I think...

yea never seen helsing or played the game so i wouldnt notice...Is two thrones out yet, if so i dont know why my ass is in this chair and not in my Titan driving to gamestop..oh yea there closed at this time... *sits and waits till 10 am*

Street fighter the movie was good, and super mario bros was awesome. You cant really say the movie sucked because those games had no storyline. same for doom, there WAS NO storyline in the game so the movie was fine...now halo, that MUST follow the storyline...i just cant wait to see the ring world on the big screen.

Street Fighter and DooM did have story lines, but not much (at least a lot more than Mario Bros). You'll find the entire storyline for DooM in the instruction manual and in some text screens that display throughout the game (you have to play pretty far to get it). As for Street Fighter, finish the game with a bunch of characters. They totally messed that up, it was a fighting competetion MK style, not some war flick which for no reason at all included kung fu. As for HALO, I think that has about as much story as DooM really. Of course, Microsoft isn't going to let people take a dump all over their product (they save that honor for themselves *cough* windows *cough*). And I'm sure Bill Gates will probably lend his army to film some of the action scenes. I have a feeling they may cheap out on the SFX though, since HALO uses so much of it and it would get pretty costly to film some of the scenes. (or maybe they will opt for a CG film, I haven't been following it).

the resident evil movie is a compilation of the resident evil games. its all the storys of all the re games combined into one. the first one, a base under a mansion (taken from RE1 the game, put into re1 the movie) Nemesis, the enemy in Resident evil 2 the movie, taken from RE3 the game (by the way GREAT COSTUME!! actually looks real, except for the blood, that crap looked like it dripped off a sandwich) the scene where alice is running through the glass hallway was taken from the helicopter scene from one of the resident evil games that isnt on playstation...i think code veronica or something i dont remember. the "water zombie" choreography they used as the zombies walking and moving totally made the zombies look not realistic... it actually couldnt get much worse then that unless the zombies walked with their arms outward facing forward as the old zombies walk. you know what, they should SHOOT the director of Resident evil and bring in.......... George A. Remaro...... zombie flick directors cant get better then that... GAR is the person who made Night of the living dead, then Dawn of the Dead (night of the living dead 2...) then day of the dead, then he was planning on making Twilight of the dead but changed his mind. Then they brought out Land of the dead and also remade Dawn of the dead, his best zombie film. the remake wasnt too bad but i prefer the old one. anyway he would have been a great director for the RE films and he would have been way better then the fat guy who is directing them now....

It was more of a side story which included scenes similar to the RE games, and not a retelling if that's what you meant. The helicopter scene was indeed the opening of Code:Veronic. Zombies with arms facing out?? Check RE again, because that was what the zombies did. I think the coreography wasn't too bad. Besides, the director doesn't like you calling them zombies they are BOWs .

As for the GAR doing RE comment, I read the script for that, and I can say it sucked. I have a feeling he didn't pick up a controller to play RE and merely got someone to give him a plot summary (WTH Chris not in STARS? Chris knowing his way around the mansion and not being totally lost? A high tech lab that kids could sneak into? Romero, you make nerds cry like an Aeris death scene!). His other movies were good though.

Were we reading the same thread? That thread made me lose all hope that Silent Hill won't be a flaming Sh*tfest with a side order of Crapitola, smothered in a thick layer of hack. Too much to list here as to why I foresee a crappy movie, but I think I'll just leave it alone since it isn't out yet and I don't know how it would be.

EDIT- and Snake, the two thrones game doesn't come out til December 1st.
