Default SCREW VG MOVIES! Im looking for the good stuff!

I mean screw all VG movies, except for halo, Metal Gear and Splinter cell. Im looking for hte good stuff that brings back the classics, like Aeon Flux, it used to be a cartoon back in the day. Anyway, Doom was alright, what im lookin for is a Star Wars KOTOR movie, but really what im truly looking forward to is Rush hour 3, Xmen 3, Friday after that (rumors only), and tons more. Im a movie fanatic but dont get your hopes up over VG movies, they only make the game it takes after look bad. Like they better not mess up splinter cell and halo movie and they BEST NOT MESS UP METAL GEAR movie, otherwise there will be ass to kick and hell to pay...

    My Ratings for VG movies

    Doom 4/5
    Resident Evil 4/5
Resident Evil apocalypse 5/5 (GOTTA LOVE NEMESIS, the best enemy of all RE games!)

I also heard they making a Legend of Zelda movie but it probably wont come out till 2008/2009 but im not getting my hopes up.

I recently heard that the Metal Gear film is being co produced with Uwe Boll, he is also the lead writer/director for Splinter cell. Just kidding, don't take a heart attack anyone, it was a joke. I really don't like movies anymore, they are just the same old crap over and over. Plus, they are repeatedly being filled with awful acting and poor story telling. I havent been to a movie in years, and have only watched some recent ones on TV when extremely bored (about 30 minutes in I load up a game). I would rather watch a gameplay tape of Metal Gear, Splinter Cell, or LoZ. Besides, what would a Zelda film be like really? Link can't speak! They will most likely add speech to the character and have to cut down on the game significantly to fit a 2 hour film (maybe 2 dungeons instead of the usual 6-8). If they ever make a Metal Gear film, I will personally kill everyone in hollywood, then burn the place to the ground (If crusher doesn't beat me to it that is). As for Splinter Cell, I can see that becoming a pretty good film (the other TC films were alright, despite being overly drawn out and dull). As long as they fill it with action and shootouts and cut down on the llllooonngg between mission dialogue (which I bet will be 99% of the film if it gets made).

How could you possibly enjoy the Resident Evil movies? They were so crappy and had little to do with anything about the game. OMGZ A MANSION AND ZOMBIES LAWLZ! They weren't scary, they were stupid. The part where Milla Jovovich does Matrix like moves against the dogs in the first one was completely and utterly retarded. The 2nd one was a little better than a first but still shitty.

Paul Anderson is THE man when it comes to making bad movies especially video game movies. But good news folks, Anderson is BACK to make the next Resident Evil movie. As well as the new Casltevania, Driver, and even Dead or Alive movie. The only 2 decent flicks he made that I enjoyed were Mortal Kombat and Soldier...

Oh dear god! They are making a film of Driver and Anderson is making it? And he is still making the CV film? *contemplates suicide....or strangling Anderson with Boll's internal organs* well I guess I should be happy I lost all faith in Hollywood back in the 90's, so I don't have to sit through it. Soldier was good though, got to admit that. But what are you questioning RE when MK had about as much connection to the game as RE did. OMG Sub Zero and Goro!!+1, yeah, that movie was real close to the game.....not.

you call the RE movies shitty but you enjoyed MK? lmao omg. MK was just as shitty. sonya was a fuckin twig who couldn't fight for shit. goro was weak. kitana shouldn't have even BEEN in the movie yet. johnny cage beating scorpion = gay. the only good things that came from that movie were:
    -right person for lui kang
    -right person for shang tsung
-talisa soto was hot as hell

btw, the RE movies weren't exactly supposed to be based off the games.

Obviously the Mortal Kombat movie had little to do with anything either but I still enjoyed it. Linden Ashby kicked ass as Johnny Cage and I just love Christopher Lambert. It wasn't an amazing WHOMGZ OSKAR WINNER KTHX, but it was an above average movie whereas I find both RE movies to be just lame and weak. MK had nice action and a nice touch of humor in it. Closer adaptation to the video game than RE...

Anderson being THE man for crappy VG films? Four words "House. Of. The. Dead." If you can sit through that without wanting to vomit, you're a god.

And then there's Alone in the Dark *cough*Crapzilla*cough*. I don't wanna start on that POS.

I'm just gonna stop there, before I vomit in rage. Now, I'm off to think about something not related to crappy films.

I haven't seen any Uwe Boll's films yet but I only heard bad things about them. When House Of The Dead first came out, the trailer for it was just about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I also heard Uwe Boll is making Bloodrayne, Postal, and Fear Effect as well. Hope those turn out good LOL...

bloodrayne would just end up being a clone of a cross between blade and underworld, and fear effect, could actually be a decent movie if directed well.

WTF! You guys are worried more about Bloodrayne and Fear Effect than Postal? Blasphemy! He's gonna ruin Postal! That game was so kick ass. I played it at my friends house a couple of days ago when we were drunk off our asses. The loading times were awful but it was all worth it when you can cap Gary Coleman and set elephants on fire...

I'd like to see that, if I were still into films. if they made a gremlins film, I may consider lifting my boycott of Hollywood long enough to see it, since it was one of the first films I saw. Of course, they don't need to make it scary, I liked how they were comedic more than scary. A new Gremils film is about the only thing that would temp lift my ban.

I'm equally pissed about all of them, although If I had to choose an order:

most pissed about to least pissed about
Fear Effect < Postal < BloodRayne

Mostly because I liked Fear Effect a lot, and BloodRayne may not be my fav IMO. Postal was cool though. Definantly worth it despite the pain in the ass load times (I could like go eat something during some of those load times). Fear Effect may have been messed up a lot though by that sequal (FE2 was....well it had lesbians so I can't say bad......just not as good as the original, by a large margin). I guess I can just say that I am royally pissed that they are giving this guy scripts of some of my favorite game series (please don't say he has the rights to a Star Ocean film, an FF film, Syphon Filter, Half Life, MGS, GTA, or Devil May Cry, cause I will kill the nearest person if he does)
