    Default DreamCast Emulator

I've heard that there wasn't a reliable Dreamcast emulator out there. I've got copies of Evolution 1 and 2 on my computer, and I sort of want to play them.

If anybody can provide the name of a somewhat reasonable DC emulator, It'd be appreciated.

Well as far as i know.. there are no emulators that can play those games.. and ive heard that it would take a top of the line computer to run it full speed.. most computer cant even run it half speed.

There is an emulator called Icarus and it is developing fairly good but it still cannot play any commercial games yet. But keep an eye on that though.

    They are hot, aren't they??

It can and has been able to for a while As to what standard it can play these and what speeds, that is obviously more debatable.

I do know that Cyrus has started to work on it again, after taking a little time off. A release should hopefully happen sometime soon.

While Ngemu was still operational, I've read, that Icarus plays the games at 15-16 frames/s. I can't remember the computer specs, but it was like the best i've ever seen. So basically u won't be able to run the games at full spped, even if u have the best pc money can buy.

    Lightbulb DC Emulator

I am currently playing Evolution 1 and Skies of Arcadia on my computer with Chankast Alpha version 0.25 and it works pretty well. You will need Daemon tools to get it to work. Get Daemon Tools at www.daemon-tools.com and Chankast at www.chankast.com. Get the latest
versions of both. I also overclock the emulator by 130 percent . You can do this by hitting the + key on the numerical keypad. The manual / help file should guide you through the whole process.

Backseat moderation aside, Akuma's got a point. Don't ressurect irrelevant, ass-old threads, or the EP monkeys will cover you in their feces. It's not a pretty sight.
