    Default Rayman 2 N64

How would I get Rayman 2 to work on PJ64, I am having depth problems, Like for items like Lums and the fists, they can been seen through objects, and I can not seem to fix it. I also heard about Lum problems with color. Any Suggestions?

I had a few similar depth problems with Earthworm Jim 3d. Applying the service pack 1 sorted out the problem to a certain degree, other suggestions would be if you have a voodoo card glide wrappers can help, The newest 1964(0.9.9) emulator is quite on par with the pj64 emulator, using different plugins, the best of which Jabos(not sure of newest but its in the service pack 1) and rice daedulaus(5.20 I think).

It will be a lot of trial and error before you'll find the optimum settings, hopefully the problem will be fixed.

Course you can use Glide64; download the latest version then check the wrapper folder.

Put that in the base directory and the plugin in the plugins directory (base = /1964/ or /PJ64/ for example.

Otherwise get Rices video 5.60 or perhaps worth trying GLN64. Get them from all from Emutalk (yay), or Zophars (bleurgh).

Can you use glide with any graphics card? is it necessary with some?

Okay here's a link to an updated version of Project 64's SP1 plug-in, called "Clements Unofficial v2.0g".

    http://www.zophar.net/n64.html

This link will take you to Zophar's Domain, home of the best emulators out there, and updated daily. Just scroll down the page until you see PJ64 and then click on "v2.0g Unofficial" and download it. Many more games will function more properly on PJ64 then.

I think one question to raise is what games are hard to emulate, I know resident evil 2 is near unplayable, and turok 2 has an error when you go into sniper mode which causes the game to cut out.

I think I might start a thread on N64 compatablity. Noting Optimum setting for a particular n64 game and faq on 1964 emulation. what do you think?

Sounds good. I also noticed that in Perfect Dark you can see some slightly transparent boxes around the characters limbs too. The All-Star Baseball series also has quite a few background problems as well, which really sucks because I love that series.

Has anyone here played Rayman 2 with success on a emulator, I know that most emulators have the depth problem with the lums and other sprites.

If you post a specific problem is there any chance you could make a save state of it and upload it? (Posting the region of the rom too). Then I can piss about with various settings to see if I can fix it.

Play the version on Emuparadise and you will see the problem whenever you come across a lum... There is no need for save points, it happens everywhere, but if you need a save point, it may be a few days, due to my school work...
