I used to have about thirty goldfish, only five of which had names because I couldn't tell the difference between the rest.
We then had to get the outdoor pond filled in shortly after we got my dog because he thought it would be a good idea to go for a swim every morning.
My grandma's neighbour ended up looking after all my fish in the end because he let us put them in his pond. I could go and see them whenever I wanted to, of course.
With all this thread's talk of long-life fish, I wonder if any of them are still alive? Hmm...

We have two cats right now but they belong to my older brother living in Japan right now.
They are ok, I like pets, but these cats are kind of a pain. I won't miss them too bad when he takes them back.
I've had 3 dogs in the past however, and they were all quite cool. Much more loyal than the cats we have now.

I can relate to your loss, masj.. I lost a small puppy many years ago to traffic..
Anyways.. My parents have a little black dog named Shenzi (we call her Bean, she's kind of shaped like one).. she's loud and annoying and she runs in fear from just about anything.
We have another dog, named Buckwheat, but she lives with my dad in another city.. she's really old, about 14 years and has had 3 batches of puppies in the past (with the same German Shepard, there were 30 pups altogether)
she was hit by a truck a few years ago.. my dad couldn't afford any help from the vet so she had to heal without proper help.. now her hip is sort of misplaced and her back legs are a little fucked up.. but she can still walk.
We also have cats! five to be exact, One belongs to my sister.. she's a little black cat with short hair but she stinks like feces all the time and she's really fat but incredibly cuddly.
She's really cute, but I can't stand her stench.
Then there's my mum's cat, whose a big fluffy orange male cat named simon, who kind of looks like a lion.. he's really affectionate but rather skittish.
There's my step father's cat, whose a medium sized multi-coloured fluffy thing.. whose a complete bitch, you can only pet her sometimes, but she usually just hisses and bats at you if you come near her.
there's also that weird cat that kind of came with the house whose never really around and when she is it's only to eat food. She's long but very thin, long haired white cat with gray blotches.
And ofcourse, there's MY cat.. he's huge! he's tall, long, and fat...with white hair and orange blotches.. he eats and sleeps all day, and meows in the middle of the night searching for someone to love him.. sometimes I want to stick him in a bag and throw him off of a bridge.
We have many birds.. four cocketiels(sp?), four budgies, a canary and a few finches.
We also have fish.. tropical fish and goldfish.. too many to count, the golfish are dying slowly from somekind of fungal disease..
there are also two reptiles.. one is an anole and the other a big rather mean iguana named.. bart.
I think that's it, really..

I have a cat back in Spain... and what a fatass he was.
No pictures of him though. The fucker wheighs about 6kg(12lb approx). Orange and yellow stripes, green eyes, and one bad attitude.
He's normally relaxed and lazy all day, unless I bug him... then he gets really hyper and bounces around the house for about an hour, eats, then goes back to sleep. The lazy old bastard, he's only about 4 or 5 years old. He does some funny shit occasionally, like running into a glass door, sleeping in the sink, falling asleep on his back, or stealthily attacking me then escape by leaping off walls.
Btw, I named him Garfield, cause I knew he would grow up to be a fat ass.

Which is why I only keep cactuses around now, they're great, you water them three times a year and if they start to die just water them everyday and they get healthy again, plus it gives the air a fresh scent.

I have two dogs, both poodles, they're sisters, the elder one's 7 (Peggy) and the younger one's 6 (Pearl). They've been with us since they were born and are the most loving and affectionate dogs I know. I can't imagine life without them. We got Pearl, a week after we lost her sister Pearl 'the 1st', when this bastard ran over her, no one will ever replace her.
I don't have any pics of them online atm, will put some soon.
