    Default FF7 trouble on PS2

Hey, I just recently got a used copy of Final Fantasy 7 and i'm having some trouble with it.
When I get to the part ware Barret introduces himself and the tells you how to run, the game won't let me move at all.
Is this because i'm running it on a PS2, or do you think its just a problem with the disk?

This may seem like a stupid question, but i know that some games like Final Fantasy Anthology aren't compatible with the PS2, and i didn't know if FF7 was.

Hmm.....but I'm playing FF Anthology on my PS2 right now.....

Anyway, I also have no prob playing FF7 on PS2. I think you should take that used copy, break it in half, and use the sharp pieces to rob that place you got it from!

Agreed, I just witnessed my girlfriend beat FF7 using only the PS2, there are no problems with it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you get more lockups with it on the PS1 than you getting it on the PS2.

Also if you're using cheats, that locks the game up at that spot as well.

I used to have problems with the game locking up when I used the PS1 disc speederupper and the texture-makelookernicer thingmys in the PS2 bios, maybe if you uncheck those (if you've set them, that is) it might work better.
