Well i had a window before, but it was way up high and was just a little slit one, only way I could see out of it was if I was up on the bed, now I have a floor to ceiling one.

Well I think it's broken. I'm not for sure.Not that I ever actually play it.It might be the new switcher I got. Or it could be the cable itself. Considering the same thing happened with my GameCube...yeah it could be the cable.
