Yeah, it's bullshit about the Pro Controller. But that's why I have my SNES Edition Controller with works with Wii/WiiU/PC.

But that sounds interesting, I might have to check that out...

Exactly. The Wii U still has the GC hardware inside it, it's just locked away. Hence the unlocking has begun. No emulation required.

Now, this is relevant to my interests for sure. Shame about the Wii U Pro controller not working though.

But if you have a PS3 controller, which I'm sure you do, then you're all good really. You just need to softmod the Wii Mode, which is fairly easy. It also works with original Wii Pro Controller which I also don't have.

Very interesting. I'll have my eyes on a black Wii U if they fully unlock the Gamecube side of things.

I'll let you know if it becomes good to go. I really want this to happen. Right now the Wii Mode is fully unlocked and I have a full HDD of pirate Wii and WiiWare games/homebrew attached to the Wii U. It has a launcher very similar to FSD. The HDMI upscaling makes it look a shit load better than the original Wii.

But yeah, still waiting for the actual Wii U OS itself to get hacked. If it does, the GamePad will finally be utilised properly and that's the time to buy the console.

The project is only a couple of months old so not a huge amount of green here right now.

So much win! If the Wii U gets properly cracked they'll sell a ton of systems and it'll probably save them.

They need games though, either way. There's not much to pirate.

Yeah it's a shame because the console itself is pretty decent and well made. The GamePad is awesome, despite what you hear elsewhere. But yeah, right now it's like having a Ferrari chassis without an engine or gearbox.

I feel it's more like having the spoiler off a Sierra Cosworth, but nothing else.

Is your Wii Mode softmodded? That's the first place to start...

I'm sure as the release date to the new Xeno game is released Hackers are going to up the tempo quite a bit but not release any information until the game comes out so nintendo does not patch the exploit .
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
