This is pretty cool

Imaginary. I don't believe it. I also believe that once people start "customizing" their phones, there will be a lot of burned out devices, thus creating even more "electro-waste". There are input and output pins, but there are not both. How is the base going to determine which of the four pins is VCC, GND, Serial in and Serial out? these voltages cannot be the same, cannot be of the same amperage, and data voltages are an even different story altogether!
Looks more like they were playing with their legos and made a video. They need to bring together "all of the different developers and companies," which means they aren't any one of these! Don't start saying what you think computers are capable of if you just don't know.
Basically it's build a phone in it's simplest terms.
The whole phone is basically composed blocks that serve to be processors, batteries, speakers, and all that cool trash. The main idea it to make the phone upgradeable without trashing it, like I'm about to do for the 4s as soon as the iPhone 5S comes out.
Supports customization, and capitalism by choosing the brands of "accessories" you like the most to profit you and the company making these things.
Just a thought for the future though.

Oh okay. So please give me your 4s.![]()
Then this guy...
That's a very good question, and I thought of the "electro-waste" thing as well. How will they combat this, plus no company making millions off disposable phones will ever make a phone that's supposed to last. The pure thought is juvenile. They should've explained how it'd work in more detail.
