CL here is probably just as bad. Best deal I've seen in a while is $100 for just the console, cords, and two controllers.
I could grab the system and one controller at a local pawn shop for $65. It's more than I'd like to spend on a used system, but it's looking like that's the deal I have to take.
I got a wii off eBay 6 controllers 2 numchucks system all cables 45-60 dollars free shipping
Yeah everyone overpaid for their Wii so they don't want to let it go for a good price. I'll see $100 range all the time, but occasionally someone will just be completely off their rocker and ask like $300-400 for a Wii with a couple controllers and some shitty games. I had to get mine online, because the stores here are in the 70s.
I've thought about buying online, but by the time shipping is factored in for me, I'm pretty much right back up to the $100-$120 range for a console and a couple of shit sports titles. I'll probably just suck it up and pick up a brand new system. If I'm going to be spending ~$100 anyways, might as well spend a couple bucks more and be the only owner. Then I've got the box and everything.
Probably after my son and I finish TS3 I'll suck it up and buy one. Lots of great kids games on there that he'll enjoy, and motion controls are a bit easier to use for a 4 year old compared to a 8 button dual analogue monstrosity like the PS3/360.
Because when I started emulating I was 14 years old without a job and wanted to play the games I remembered when I was a kid.
Then I got a job and money, so I started buying games.
I come here because it's a gaming website, not because it's an emulation website. I'm very rarely in the emulation section, and if I am it's because someone linked me to a butthurt user raging about entitlement.
