Hope I get paid in a few minutes, I want to order pizza. If I don't get paid today I'll be sad![]()
Thought that Bucky sucked the sack....sold mine years ago...its really going fot that much? Hell...
I got a nice bit of coin for DuckTales II recently, though... Seems that many of the Mario-related games for GC do well on the second-hand market.
Jazz - Right on man...do your thing...
Ages? I'll be 39 in the fall.

I have a feeling that prices in general (at least for the NES and SNES) will settle down a bit in a couple of years. They'll still be relatively high, but some of the prices I've been seeing are insane. I think a lot of it has to do with some of the press that the high valued games have been getting, as well as the "auction hunter" type shows where everyone starts thinking their piles of crap are worth something. Having mainstream press telling the public that they might be sitting on a game worth $20K has not helped too much.
Ah well. As long as I don't go for a CIB copy right away, I'll be happy. The really rare games, I'm probably going to just get the cart for. The more common ones, I'll spend an extra $5-$10 to get it complete.![]()
I remember renting Bucky when I was a kid and loving it. It was one of the first games I tracked down when I started collecting years ago. I still have my copy -- I really like it. 2D platformer games have always been my favourite, though. I know Duck Tales 2 commands a high price... cart alone seems to go for around $80-$100, depending on the condition.
Yes, this is a serious problem. Everyone also seems to think they are a reseller these days because of this shit. Makes it more annoying trying to make nice chunks of extra coin by hitting up garage sales and what have you. Still pretty fertile in this area but lately there are more douche bags thinking what they have is worth more than it is.
Pickins on CL up here are pretty sparse, unfortunately. I haven't hit too many garage sales this year, mainly due to my schedule (haven't had a weekend off in a while where I didn't already have plans with family visiting), but I know most of the stores around here price things about double FMV, and there are three people I see on CL regularly offering to buy retro games, then turn around and resell them.
Deals can still be found, but it's a lot more hunting than it used to be.
