Eh, I think the idea is to get a taste of it before the English one comes out, since they're all jumping ship for GW2 when that hits anyway.

I don't know, man. Plenty of Japanese people use English because it's COOL. Just like we have 15 year old girls here in the US that walk around going "AMG I'M SO RANDOM AND KAWAII THAT MEANS CUTE LOLK!"

Not necessarily, I've been to the PSO World forums and some of these dudes are really hardcore into this shit. Like, prepared to sell their souls to it. I remember when the new patch came out with the snowy area and the level cap was raised from 30 to 40, a bunch of people got to 40 within a day. I mean Jesus Christ.

Definitely, though I've noticed certain patterns. Like, one of the Japanese players I met used Latin letters to write their username, but it was accompanied by this ☆ sign that oh so many Japanese people just love to use. However, I'd say most people who have English names tend to be foreigners. When I did quests with people like that and I said something in Japanese they instantly panicked and admitted they were foreigners.
